Hi again,

as stated in the title, the frame of inactive windows vanishes sometimes. See screenshot. Note how the Diamond skins frame unfocus effect is applied though.

Thanks

More information is needed.

What OS?

Is this WinFX (live teh forum topic) related or WindowBlinds?

What is the system information from the WB app?

Every skin or some skins?

Does teh frame come back?

How often does it happen?  Can you make it happen?  How?

Windows XP SP3 32-bit german  (previously I used Vista x64, this is a fresh install)

I am noticing this since using WindowFX. I am using WindowBlinds too.

WB Version:

Code: xml
  1. WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.3 (build 68 x86) WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC Your machine supports per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins. (Standardfernseher) 1 is attached to ATI Radeon Xpress Series Wblind.dll 2008/10/17 21:12:20 Wbsrv.dll 2008/09/22 22:59:42 Wbconfig.exe 2008/09/22 22:59:32 Wbload.exe 2008/04/28 17:35:14 Wbhelp.dll 2008/04/28 17:35:07 Wbui.dll 2008/04/28 17:35:05 Tray.dll 2008/04/28 17:35:21 Screen.exe 2008/07/22 16:10:09

note I'm using a laptop lcd not a tv-out as implied by "Standardfernseher" (Fernseher = television).

WindowFX version: 3.1 32-bit

(all versions latest updates through Impulse as of writing this)

at least the WindowBlinds Diamond skin. I don't want to change "system things" without need.

Yes, the frame comes back when clicking inside the inactive window. It does not, when hovering over the inactive window. I use WindowFXs transparent inactive windows feature. Maybe this is the cause.

I have no way of reproducing it yet. Sometime it happens, most of the time its fine. Apparently its possible to see this issue with Gimp windows.

Thanks!

you might try opening WB configuration and see if adjusting the Tranaparency and Blur setting has any effect.  Just a thought.

Hi, I didn't try this. I am cautious when changing a setting is involved, as I don't want registry entries to be written when the default value can be used and things like that. In this case I think changing a window frame element property won't help when the whole frame isn't shown. Thanks though!
